WELCOME BACK FNEW!
Join us on Wednesday, September 12th starting at 6 PM for our Fall kick-off with Prill Boyle.
BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF. Take a good look in the mirror and ask yourself: “What am I doing that I want to stop? What am I not doing that I want to begin?” Even if you have no idea what your passions and gifts are, undoubtedly you’re clear about something in your life. Start there.
Author Prill Boyle will speak about “Defying Gravity: A Celebration of Late-Blooming Woman.” In her book with the same title, Prill will be talking about DEFYING GRAVITY, which recounts the stories of 12 “ordinary” women who have accomplished extraordinary things later in life. One woman didn’t graduate from high school until she was 42 and became a professor at an Ivy League university. Another was a shy housewife until she was 52 and became the CEO of a multi-million dollar corporation. Connecting these first-person accounts together is the story of the author, herself a late bloomer.
This event is great for any age – young or mature – as you can make great success at any age.
About Prill Boyle: A self-described late-bloomer, Prill graduated from Georgetown University at age 38, became a high school English teacher at age 40, and published her first book at age 50. In writing DEFYING GRAVITY, she was inspired by the persistence and courage of a 65-year old woman named Wini Yunker who had waited 39 years to join the Peace Corps. Now 64, Prill continues to interview, research and write about late bloomers.
